Vice President (2 Years)

Rolando Dans

1) How long have you been a member of LSVA and what has been the highlight of your volleyball career?
I have been a member of LSVA since 2018 and a member of the Board since 2023. The highlight of my volleyball career has definitely been taking a leadership position in LSVA as a way to give back to the organization. The sport of volleyball has provided me with lots of growth, fun, and many friendships which I am thankful to LSVA for.
2) Why do you feel you will be successful in this position?
As the current Vice President, I have been involved in several initiatives over the last two years which have borne fruit such as establishing weekly open plays -- first at PAC Gym and now at Willow Meadows -- as a pipeline for new members to discover LSVA outside of our typical Spring and Fall recruitment seasons. I have also been instrumental in establishing and operating the Summer Mixer leagues and the Summer Sand leagues for the past two years which are now regular offerings. Additionally, I championed the establishment of the C Division for the Houston NAGVA tournament and am highly involved in the recruitment and training of the Houston teams that compete in C. And as the chair of the Membership Committee, I make a point of getting to know our members and am always active in recruiting new people into our league whenever I meet them, even at other open gyms all around Houston.
3) What are your goals for this position?
My goals for the next two years are to help rejuvenate and re-establish our Advanced and Power divisions, and I would like to work with the new Board members that we recruit from those divisions on ideas to balance current inequalities and restart growth. I would also like to explore other venues that we can partner with to hold more indoor open plays as well as start offering sand volleyball open plays.

Dante Dumas

I have been a proud member of the Lone Star Volleyball Association (LSVA) since 2019, and one of the greatest highlights of my volleyball career has been the relationships I have built along the way. Volleyball has always been more than just competition for me, it has been a space for connection, community, and personal growth. The most meaningful highlight has been meeting one of my closest friends through LSVA. That friendship has had a lasting impact on my life and reminds me of how powerful this organization can be in bringing people together through shared passion and support.

I believe I will be successful in the Vice President position because I bring strong leadership, consistency, and a genuine commitment to serving others. I understand how important it is to create welcoming environments where people feel valued and heard. I would bring that same mindset to LSVA by supporting members, collaborating with leadership, and helping ensure our organization continues to thrive both on and off the court.

My goals for this position are to strengthen member engagement, create more opportunities for connection, and support the long term growth of LSVA. I want to help foster an inclusive environment where both new and returning members feel a sense of belonging. I also hope to support events and initiatives that encourage participation, sportsmanship, and community involvement. Most importantly, I want to help preserve the sense of friendship and family that makes LSVA such a special place for so many of us.

Secretary (2 Years)

Hoating Han

I joined in 2024 and have been playing regularly every season since.

A big highlight for me has been playing competitively while still keeping things fun. Along the way, I’ve built strong team chemistry, made some great friends, and that’s made the whole experience really enjoyable.

I think I’d be a good fit for secretary because I’m organized, detail-oriented, and reliable. I like keeping things well-structured and clear. I also have a logical mindset, which helps me keep things accurate and find ways to make processes more efficient.

My goals as secretary are to ensure clear and consistent communication between the board and members, keep records accurate and well-organized, and make sure important information is easy to access. Overall, I want to be reliable in supporting coordination and help the organization run smoothly and efficiently.

Director of Competition (2 Years)

Jezreel Pantaleón García

1) How long have you been a member of LSVA and what has been the highlight of your volleyball career?
I have been a member of LSVA since 2022. The highlight of my volleyball career has been finding a space where I identify as part of the LGBT community, both here in Houston and beyond, allowing me to be myself on and off the court. LSVA has provided a safe environment where I feel comfortable expressing who I am, and through it I have built meaningful friendships with people who have supported my growth both in my athletic journey and in my personal life. I hope to continue fostering that same impact within the association.

2) Why do you feel you will be successful in this position?
I believe I will be successful in this position because since joining LSVA, I have experienced steady growth both as a player and in understanding the organizational side of the league. Over the past year, serving as a Member-at-Large on the Board has shown me that meaningful impact is possible and that the Board is receptive to the voices and feedback of the player community. During this time, I have helped streamline tournament processes for players, contributed to creating more open spaces for dialogue within the Board, and supported both new and existing members—especially by helping welcome new players into the association. These experiences have prepared me to continue contributing effectively.

3) What are your goals for this position?
In this position, my goal is to ensure there is always someone on the Board that members feel comfortable approaching to share feedback, ideas, and needs. I want to help keep LSVA accessible and welcoming to all, while maintaining strong collaboration with the Board to support positive change. Through my recent experience, I’ve seen that change is possible when we actively listen and amplify the voices of our community. I want to continue being that bridge between players and the association—helping others feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to grow within LSVA, both in the sport and in their identity.

Nick Mostaccero

1) How long have you been a member of LSVA and what has been the highlight of your volleyball career?
I have been an active member since 2020 starting from the Social Division and currently playing in an Advanced BYOT league! I am very glad I found LSVA to bring out my passion in volleyball. Since then, I have won two Skilled division tournaments. My biggest achievement so far is placing 2nd in the Silver Division of the Dallas NAGVA tournament and ultimately snagging an All-Star from it!
2) Why do you feel you will be successful in this position?
I have served on the board for 2 years as the Secretary. I have had a passion in helping keeping the completion strong in the league. I have volunteered as a rater and have assisted in running the end of season tournaments. I feel the league is strongest with engagement and will strive transparency to help communicate disputes with captains, ratings, etc., to ensure everyone feels heard.
3) What are your goals for this position?
My goals are to formally update the established rules and guidelines that all captains and raters can use first future clinics and seasons. I also strive to get feedback to revive the upper Advanced and Power divisions by getting input on recommended league play structures. I’ll also strive to work with the board on gym recommendations for potential time or venue changes. I also strive to actively run reffing clinics for new and old members alike. But ultimately to keep this league as successful as can be

1) How long have you been a member of LSVA and what has been the highlight of your volleyball career?

A : I have been a dedicated member of LSVA since 2017 and have served on the Board since 2024.
While I’ve enjoyed many seasons on the court, the true highlight of my volleyball career has been serving as a Member at Large. Transitioning from a player to a leader allowed me to give back to the community that has given me so much. It has been incredibly rewarding to influence the league’s growth from the inside.

2) Why do you feel you will be successful in this position?

A : When I stepped into my current role two years ago, I made it my mission to maximize the "value" of the position for the entire league. I feel I have been successful because I don't just sit on the sidelines; I stay visible across all divisions and act as a direct line of communication for our members. My primary focus has been our new recruits. I take pride in being the first point of contact during Social Open Play where I meet many people with different skill levels who just want to play. I often guide them through the LSVA culture, helping them maximize their membership experience, and bridging any information gaps. I am a "voice for the people," ensuring  member feedback translates into board action. This happens weekly because I communicate in a division chat group where everyone can ask questions, allowing me to provide quick answers.

3) What are your goals for this position?
A : My main objective is to provide consistency and visibility for another year. I want to continue serving as an approachable and respected representative across the league
